Basic Chihuahua Care 101

Although there are certain rules for walking your chihuahua in various cities, there are not any guideline requirements on caring for your chihuahua. With a plethora of canine health articles on the market, few report the basics or no brainers that you will learn along the way.



In the late 1800's, rough collies were known as Scottish Sheepdogs. The name was eventually changed to rough collie. This is probably due to the fact that both rough and bearded collies were developed in Scotland to help herd sheep.

The German Shepherd Dog is also known as the Alsatian, or Deutsche Schaferhund. Rin Tin Tin, probably the most famous American German Shepherd, was actually born in France in September of 1918 and then brought to America later.

When it comes to collies there is some debate about the smooth-coat collie. Some breed organizations consider the smooth-coat and rough-coat dogs to be variations of the same breed. Others consider them to be completely seperate.

German Shepherds have incredibly sensitive noses. They have over 225 million cell receptors in their noses, making them ideal for police work, such as bomb and drug sniffing, finding missing children and tracking criminals.
